Out of the 16 stations on the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, four stations are located in Delhi. Currently, New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar stations are operational, while Sarai Kale Khan and Jangpura are under construction and expected to open soon. The third operational Rapid Metro station in Delhi will be the Sarai Kale Khan RRTS Station, which is currently under construction in the South East Delhi district of Delhi, India.
Sarai Kale Khan Rapid Metro Station is one of the largest and most important stations on the entire Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. Serving as a central hub for train operations across all three priority corridors of Phase-1, it plays a vital role as both an operational centre and a major passenger interchange point.
The station is equipped with 4 tracks and 6 platforms—the most of any station along the corridor—enabling efficient train movement and passenger handling. Designed to support high footfall, it features 5 entry and exit gates, multiple staircases, 14 lifts, and 18 escalators, ensuring seamless passenger flow and accessibility.
With expansive dimensions of 215 meters in length, 50 meters in width, and 15 meters in height, the station’s layout is optimized for smooth movement and effective crowd management, making it a cornerstone of the RRTS network.
