The Meerut Metro project is an urban mass transit system currently under construction in Meerut City, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The project officially commenced on March 8, 2019, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid its foundation stone.
The Meerut Metro will comprise a total of 13 stations, including 9 elevated, 3 underground, and 1 at-grade station. The project began in June 2019 and is expected to be completed by June 2025.
