Meerut Airport
Meerut Airport, also known as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Airport, is located at Partapur, around 9 km south of Meerut city on NH-58. The airport is being developed to enhance regional air connectivity for Meerut and the surrounding districts of Western Uttar Pradesh under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). Existing infrastructure includes a runway, taxiway, apron, and terminal facilities, while plans are underway to upgrade the airport for scheduled commercial flight operations with expanded runway and passenger amenities.
Once operational, Meerut Airport is expected to improve connectivity for business travellers, tourists, and residents while supporting the city’s growing industrial, educational, and commercial sectors. The proposed expansion will also complement major infrastructure projects such as the Delhi–Meerut RRTS, Delhi–Meerut Expressway, and Ganga Expressway, strengthening Meerut’s position as a key transportation hub in Western Uttar Pradesh.
