After the inauguration of the pending section of the Delhi–Meerut RRTS corridor on 22 February 2026, the operational stretch has been extended from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut. This corridor is one of the three planned Rapid Rail corridors connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, significantly improving high-speed regional connectivity.
On 22 February 2026, the Hon’ble Prime Minister inaugurated a 5 km section between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station and a 21 km section between Meerut South and Modipuram, marking the completion of the entire Namo Bharat corridor. With this inauguration, the total length of the operational corridor from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram has become about 82 km. However, Jangpura RRTS Station is still under construction and will open in the future once the remaining work is completed.
