Earlier, travelling from the last corner of Meerut, such as Partapur, to Begumpul used to take around 30–60 minutes due to heavy city traffic. However, since the Begumpul RRTS station became operational, the journey has become much easier, faster, and more comfortable, with fewer traffic congestion headaches.

You can reach Begumpul from Meerut South using either the Meerut Metro or the Namo Bharat (RRTS) train. However, there is a difference in speed and number of stops between the two services.

The Meerut Metro runs at a maximum speed of 120 km/h and stops at several stations between Meerut South and Begumpul. On the other hand, the Namo Bharat train runs faster with a maximum speed of 160 km/h and has only one stop at Shatabdi Nagar station on this route.
