Begumpul Metro Station

Begumpul Meerut Metro Station spans approximately 246 meters in length and 24.5 meters in width, with a depth of about 22 meters. Despite its depth, passenger convenience has been a priority, with provisions for 20 escalators strategically placed at various entry and exit points to facilitate movement between levels. Of these, 13 escalators have already been installed.

Begumpul station consists of four levels: ground, mezzanine, concourse, and platform. Passenger facilities will be available at the concourse level, where travellers can enter through the AFC gate after security checks. The platform level features an island design, allowing trains to operate in both directions.

Metro Station of Begumpul

Begumpul, a key commercial hub in Meerut, is home to the city’s largest underground Namo Bharat station. Construction for the start of operations has been completed, and the station is now fully ready for use. Out of its four entry/exit gates, two are fully completed and ready, while work on the remaining two gates is currently underway.

Begumpul is the only underground station in Meerut, from where passengers will get the facilities of Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro. Two tracks have been built at this station, where the Namo Bharat train and Meerut Metro will pass with the help of a state-of-the-art signalling system.

About Begumpul Meerut Metro Station

The Begumpul Meerut Metro Station is one of Meerut Metro’s underground stations, situated at Bharat Mata Chowk (Begumpul), Meerut. The station code of Begumpul is A17.

Seven lifts, three of which have almost been installed, will be constructed at the station along with stairs. NCRTC has also prepared the stations for medical assistance. Large lifts have been built at each station so that stretchers, etc., can be carried in them if needed. There is also a facility to carry stretchers on the train.

A large number of people come to Begumpul every day to buy the goods they need. This station is located in the middle of the market and once the train starts operating, it will become very convenient for the people. People will be able to travel from Begumpul station not only within Meerut city by metro but also to Ghaziabad or Delhi by Namo Bharat train.

Begumpul Metro Station Gates

Begumpul is the only underground station in Meerut featuring four entry and exit gates, ensuring convenient access from all directions. With these four strategically placed gates, passengers can easily enter and exit the station from multiple points around the area.

Gate No. 1- The first gate is designed for passengers arriving from Abu Lane.

Gate No. 2- The second gate serves those coming from Sotiganj.

Gate No. 3- The third entry/exit gate is positioned near National Inter College.
