Delhi to Meerut Metro Route

Suppose you want to travel from Delhi to Meerut or Meerut to Delhi. In that case, you can book a cab, travel by bus, or take the metro; out of all the suggestions, the best, cheapest and fastest method is to travel by Rapid Metro, which is currently running from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South.

By June 2025, the Rapid Metro will be available from one corner of Meerut to the last corner of Delhi, that is, from Modipuram, Meerut, to Jangpura, Delhi, with a maximum travel time of 60 minutes. The NCRTC owns the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail project.

The distance between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South via the Rapid Metro is approximately 51.5 kilometres, while the distance from Anand Vihar to Meerut South is around 44.3 kilometres. These routes are part of the high-speed RRTS corridor, ensuring fast and efficient travel between Delhi and Meerut.

Delhi to Meerut Metro Ticket Price

The ticket prices for the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Metro vary based on the destination and coach type. For a journey from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South, the Standard Class ticket is priced at ₹150, while the Premium Class ticket costs ₹180. For those travelling from Anand Vihar to Meerut South, the fare is ₹130 for Standard Class and ₹155 for Premium Class.

    The Rapid Metro is now operational between Delhi and Meerut, allowing passengers to travel from Delhi to Meerut in under 60 minutes. Currently, there are a total of 11 operational stations along the Delhi–Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) route.

    In Delhi, two Rapid Metro stations are operational: New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar. In Meerut, the Meerut South station is currently operational.
